Get ready for this year's Go Green Expo in Christchurch on the 5th and 6th of August with our exciting Electric Vehicle Showcase. Step outside and immerse yourself in our top-selling EVs, get behind the wheel, and have your EV-related questions answered by local experts.

Organized by volunteers with the Better NZ Trust and the Christchurch Electric Vehicle Group, this exhibit aims to educate and wow the community about the benefits of EV adoption.

Attendees will have the chance to see a diverse range of EVs on display, from commercial offerings like the Nissan e-NV200 van and LDV80 truck to the ever-popular Nissan Leaf. We have the EVs that are selling the most currently in New Zealand, like the Tesla family, exciting newcomers such as the Kia EV6 and BYD, and rarer vehicles, such as the Ford Mustang Mach E and the Polestar 2.

To further illustrate how electric cars work, local dealership EV City will showcase their unique demonstration car, "XRAY," which is a cut-in-half Nissan Leaf. This fully functional vehicle features a clear view of the Lithium Ion battery beneath cutaway steel and perspex. XRAY provides a fascinating glimpse into the inner workings of an electric vehicle, helping attendees understand the technology powering these eco-friendly cars.

"We're thrilled to be at the Go Green Expo to show off the future of transport and answer questions about electric vehicles," said Will Hunter, the organizer of the exhibit. "We believe that electric vehicles are a key part of reducing our emissions, and we aim to help people make an informed decision about whether their next car can be electric.

The showcase will feature a team of knowledgeable experts ready to answer questions and address concerns with EVs. Representatives from EVs Enhanced, EVNex, and the Christchurch Electric Vehicle Group will be volunteering their time to provide insights into batteries, charging infrastructure, and real-world experiences of long-time EV owners. By debunking common myths and offering clear information, the expo aims to empower attendees to embrace the benefits of going electric.

In addition to showcasing cutting-edge vehicles and expert guidance, the Go Green Expo will provide opportunities for test drives and rides in various EV models. This first-hand experience helps people feel the thrill of instant acceleration and emission-free driving that EVs offer.
